Last updated October 15, 2026

01In short

  • No tracking. This website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts.
  • Only what you send. The only personal information we collect through this site is what you choose to send in the contact form.
  • Used to reply. We use it to respond to your enquiry and manage our business relationship with you.
  • Never sold. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, or share it for anyone else’s marketing.

02Who we are

This website, qlive.ca, is operated by Q-LIVE Canada Inc., a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act and based in British Columbia (“Q-LIVE Canada”, “we”, “us”). This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information through this website and when you contact us.

We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), as applicable.

03What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, the topic you select, your company or organization (if you provide it) and the content of your message. If you email us or reply to our emails, we receive whatever you include.

Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic technical information for each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this information to identify you or build a profile of you.

What we do not collect. We do not use cookies, analytics tools, advertising networks, social media plug-ins or tracking pixels, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as financial or health details. Please do not include such information in your message.

04How we use it

We use the personal information you send us only to:

  • read and respond to your enquiry;
  • discuss, prepare and carry out any business relationship that follows from it;
  • keep a reasonable record of our correspondence; and
  • protect the website and our systems from spam and misuse.

By sending us a message you consent to this use. We will not use your information for a new purpose without asking you first, unless the law permits or requires it. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.

05Service providers & sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website and keeps short-lived technical logs.
  • Google provides our business email (Google Workspace) and processes contact form submissions (Google Apps Script). Your message is delivered to, and stored in, our Google Workspace account.
  • Google Fonts delivers the typefaces this site uses, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when a page loads.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, or to a professional adviser or a successor business under appropriate confidentiality.

06Where it is stored

Our service providers may store and process information on servers in the United States and other countries outside Canada. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of those countries, and authorities there may be able to access it. We choose established providers that maintain recognized security standards.

07How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, including any business relationship that follows and our legal and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it. Technical hosting logs are kept by our provider for a short period and then discarded.

08How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) across this website, accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication, access limited to the people who need it, and spam and abuse controls on the contact form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

09Your choices & rights

You may ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and how we have used and shared it;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; or
  • delete your information, or withdraw your consent to our using it, subject to legal or contractual limits.

To make a request, send us a message through the contact form and choose “Something else”. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within 30 days.

10Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time, for example if we add new features or service providers. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will ask for your consent where required.

12Questions & complaints

If you have a question about this notice or how we handle personal information, contact us through the contact form and we will reply by email.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
